Consistency Unleashed: Tracy’s Inspiring Fitness Transformation from Struggle to NEW Strength!

2 years ago today I walked into TRV|Fit.

2 years later, I’m still going!

Has it been easy? No! Has it been worth it? Absolutely! Making the decision to get healthier and stronger for myself and family has been a decision that I do not regret making.

I started off just going to 2 group fitness classes a week. Now I’m up to 3-4 days a week group fitness classes. It varies due to life and kids. I had very little workout experience. I never played any sports growing up and never really worke out. I tried the gym on my own a few times but struggled with figuring it out. I also tried working out on my own from home. That stuck for a while but I was taking short cuts during those workouts. I needed something structured. A group setting where the workout was set for me. Where I was told what to do.

TrvFit has been amazing from Day 1 and still is today. This is a true fitness community where the members and coaches truly care about you. Inside of the gym and outside the gym. They care and that is what makes a difference in your fitness journey. They want everyone to succeed but you also have to show up and put in the work. It was hard. Getting started was so hard. I was so out of shape. It took time. Time, consistency and patience. Results don’t happen overnight or even in a few months. You may not even see results until the year mark. I started with just working out. I knew that would be all I could handle.

Once I got a hang on that, I started changing my diet. Nothing crazy, just paying more attention to what I’m eating and what I should be eating more of. Protein! Protein will change your life.

2 years in and this can still be hard. I’ll still have hard workouts, hard weeks, days where eating right is hard but it all comes down to consistency. Don’t quit. Just because you had a bad day eating, don’t quit. Don’t stay there. That’s been the biggest thing that I’ve had to learn. Just because you missed a workout or had a bad day with food, keep going. Don’t stop. One bad day isn’t going to change your journey. You learn from it and move on.

Now, I’m doing things I never thought I’d be doing. Running 5k’s, Spartan Race, lifting heavy, etc. I’ve learned so much over the past 2 years.

The coaches at TrvFit are so patient in teaching you when you’ve never done anything like this before. The community is extremely welcoming and very helpful as well. Gyms like these are hard to find. It’s genuine, it’s real here. I hate to know what my journey would look like if I had gone anywhere else besides here. Without the support of the coaches and the community here, I’m not sure where I’d be today. Without the support of my husband and family, I’m not sure where I’d be today either. So many people have put so much into making this happen for me and I’m forever grateful.

At this point, 2 years later, my reason is because I don’t want to go back to the beginning. I know what it is like and I don’t want to go back. I’d rather maintain than go back. Changing my habits has affected so much in my life.

The biggest thing and the thing that means the most to me is it has trickled down to my family. My kids want to work out and my husband just started his journey with it. It has given me more energy, it has made me feel better overall, it has changed my attitude, helped with my depression and I could go on and on. The pictures speak for themselves over the last 2 years of my journey here. I’m excited to see what the next year at TrvFit brings. I’m beyond thankful to have started this journey and continue to be on it.
